Monte Cardón - La Jolla

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here with a group of friends. We had the chef’s table 5 course dinner plus dessert. There was definitely plenty to eat and the setting and views are magnificent. Our dinner started out with a composed salad, followed by a grilled chocolate clam served over coals, lamb ravioli, dorado steak, and lamb lollipop chops. All were wonderful, though the sauces may have been over generous. We wished we had brought jars for the sauces to take what we couldn’t eat home. We definitely plan to return and participate in their cooking classes.

Monte Cardon is the most incredible food experience every foodie should treat themselves to. We had the most incredible pairing of fresh farm to table vegetables and local fish and meats. The flavors were so fresh, ever mouthful popped and was presented as an art piece on the plate. The staff were exceptional. The Mexican wines they presented were perfection. A must on your bucket list!
