Went to this restaurant with some colleagues. The food was fantastic and absolutely delicious.The starter of scallops was absolutely divine, the steak was so tender. The desert of pear in chocolate was too good for words. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Left behind in time, this lovely eatery has a log fire, no background music, proper table cloths and heavy cutlery, deferential waiters and excellent food and wine. As my son put it: bit like eating in Grandma 's front room! . We loved it.

We had been staying with friends who live in the village of Herqueville, Normandie and as a farewell dinner, Karen and Greg recommended Restaurant La Bruyere which was only a few kilometres away. Booking was essential as it is only small but the menu and...the atmosphere is truly FRENCH. I had not been to many French Restaurants but our experience with La Bruyere was exceptional. We opted for the 31 Euro menu for 4 which covered most items on the menu and I could not fault the meal nor the service but I must add that it did help to have French friends and I believe an English conversation may have been a little difficult but not insurmountable as we learnt as we spent 4 weeks in southern France and managed to convey our needs or questions and found that we could be understood. Fun on the road !!!

Cuisine excellente dans un cadre un peu classique: entrée originale et très goûteuse (croustillant et fondant) plat de poisson cuit à merveille et purée d'une belle finesse et bon dessert le tout pour 22€!! j'en veux encore....
