Le Tavaillon - La Giettaz

A coffee break on our TVR car tour through the alps. friendly service, a cooled outside area and large coffee.

From chamonix on the way to annecy we stopped taking an espresso and a bake. it was still quite early, but walter opened the restaurant and we choose a table. we saw an appetit tarte aux myrtilles. we ordered espresso and a...beautiful cake. the myrtille pie as well as the espresso were perfect and tasty. the service was very friendly and efficient.

Ate at le Tavaillon twice on our recent trip to the Megeve/Alps area. As we were staying up the hill from the bistro it was a pleasant walk down (slightly longer walk up- may be something to do with the wine!).The food is of good quality and the staff friendly- they also had a good local Gamay that I'd recommend.Over the two nights we had the Spaghetti Bolognese, Confit duck, tartiflette and escalopes savoyard-you also get a good helping of pommes frites. We overindulged one evening and had desserts.This is another restaurant on our trip were you came away thinking you'd had good food and really good value for money. If you're staying in the area I'd recommend this restaurant- there is a small car park further down the hill.

Enjoyed an eat in meal as well as pizza carry out. Staff very friendly and good craic. Food very reasonably priced and good quality. WiFi so kids happy....

The 'Tav' as we know it came good yet again.... Great beer, great food and amazing staff made all the Mighty TFB feel welcome. Even Grandpa got the red carpet treatment - Blankets and everything wheeled out for him!
