La Cesta - La Dorada

Came here for the chocolate chip french toast which certainly did not disappoint! Latte was on point too. Service was a bit slow but I wasn't in a rush so didn't mind. Can't speak for other meals, but looked like a great breakfast menu.

I actually went here a couple of times. First on a Friday evening with a couple of ex-workmates. We had some desserts and coffee/cappuccinos. The desserts - chocolate cake, carrot cake, and another one I don't remember - were ok, not spectacular but good. The ambiance and service were pretty good too, even though they took a little too long bringing back the change. So as I saw on the menu that they served breakfasts, I went back the next morning with my wife. Breakfast was very good. We really liked the Huevos del Barrio and the French Toast was great as well. Last but not least our waitress was very friendly and cheerful. Overall a great way to start off the day.

This place is so god-looking from the outside that it wasn't long after I spotted it that I went with some friends. That one first day everything was delicious, the salads, the desert, not so much the chai...to tell you the truth, really, don't bother. But the rest was good. Next day, I went with my family, food was very good, the quiche???? O_M_G, must be one of the best in town. But of course we did not bother asking for chai, their tea selection is good enough to offer other choices. I was delighted again.The third time I went with a friend to celebrate the end of her coaching process and food was good, but service??? Let me tell you, really disappointing. So, in conclusion, it is a wonderful place, but there are inconsistencies with the service. Maybe the employees were tired, it was late, you could see they wanted to go home after a long day's work. Do they get paid accordingly? Are they well tipped? Makes you wonder.

Decided to to my grandmothers birthday party at la Cesta! Turn out AMAZING! Great service, amazing food and excellent people! Would recommend it in a blast! Don't hesitate in doing any event their it won't disappoint anybody!

Arrive before the Sunday lunch crowd wakes up. Wait times for a table is typically 10-20 minutes once it does get busy --4x spots of bar seating for faster service. But must be attentive to available seating, seeing they do not keep a wait list. If you are hungry for a satiating breakfast, its worth the wait. Food out of the kitchen and service is efficient and cordial. This place meets expectations of great Colombian customer service. Everything on the menu is tasty.Dog friendly. Will put this place on a 'good to return to' list.
