Chelarte - La Dorada

Chelarte is a block from Parque 93. It serves their own craft beer. The dishes are burgers and nachos and the like. The beer is good.

Excellent beer garden with a small but large beer menu. The staff was great and very helpful. The beer is better than BBC in my opinion (I make my own beer at home) and the prices where reasonable.

If you are around the Parque 93 area in Bogota, this is the brewery you should come and visit! Their beers have a legit microbrauerei taste and quality, plus their seasonal brews are top notch. The ambience is really covered and welcoming for solo visits or groups. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and food are a plus. A hidden gem in the area and definitely better than the other breweries nearby that present themselves as craftsmen, but not. Recommend beers: Zenaida, Pamela Sour, Tabatha

In a country that is really only seeing the early emergence of its craft beer industry, Chelarte is making some delicious brews. No, this is no Portland, Oregon, microbrewery, but I think they are maintaining high quality and *relatively* unique brews in an environment where the mass market beer industry is still overwhelmingly entrenched. They get extra points for having a cool, intimate location near busy Parque 93. Five stars!
