South Side Liquor - La Crescent

I recently encountered an issue during my second visit in three months to the La Crescent subway. The meatballs in the Marinara sauce were served cold and only became slightly warm when they were put in the bread roaster. The main problem is that the meatballs don't sit in the warm sauce long enough, leaving them hard and lacking flavor. The sauce doesn’t have any spices, and as I mentioned, the meatballs are cold and tough. This is basic Italian cuisine 101; the meat should simmer in the sauce until it's time to serve! Now I’m faced with a tough decision about whether I want to return to this place.

While their selection may be limited, they more than make up for it with warm smiles and excellent service. You'll definitely feel welcome there!

Some employees demonstrate poor customer service and are rude to everyone.
