Nick's Laguna Beach - La Costa

Went here on a whim for a special occasion and didn?t plan on pigging out? we got here and from the time we arrived to leaving, the managers, wait staff, bar tenders were all kind and had sublime customer service. The recommendations kept coming and we enjoyed a wonderful three course meal. You have to try the Gooey Butter Cake and the Prime Rib Sandwich. I don?t think my husband nor I have ever had one better. Everything was worth the price including the drinks. We had askinny marg, a whiskey sour, and an old fashioned just to try. All were delightful and very rich. Love this place and will be back to celebrate again.

Nick?s on State was really great. Coming from Houston, where I consider the restaurant scene to be at the top, Nick?s did not disappoint. Especially taking into account the ribs, these were cooked to perfect and the accompanying side-salad was absolutely delightful. Thank you, thank you!

The food was delicious, although we did wait about half an hour for our meals, so be sure to order a drink while you wait (the jalapeño watermelon margarita is excellent). We started with the poke salmon tacos, which were absolutely delicious! While prices are a bit on the higher side, the overall atmosphere is perfect for a nice date night. I highly recommend sitting on the terrace for a lovely dining experience!

The food was exceptional, the cocktails delightful, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was outstanding as well. I highly recommend this place! Dindo, our waiter, did a fantastic job accommodating our large party of nine. A big thanks to Marcus for assisting with our reservation!

I'm 37 years old, and this was the best dining experience I've ever had! The staff members were genuine and amazing, the food was outstanding, and the drinks were delicious. As residents of Carlsbad, we've found our new favorite spot! Cyrus and Fran provided excellent service and truly took great care of us!
