Five Guys - La Costa

22$ for a burger and fries. First last time I’ll ever eat at this joint.

Had lunch, both our orders were spot on, seems to be a smell in the place that gets stronger by the bathrooms,, busy location and quick response by employees making orders effectively..

Hard to justify price: cheeseburger, small fry and small drink with a $2 tip the total was over $25

Id rate 5 guys as a tad better than In-N-Out, its just unfortunate that they're so much more expensive. For 2 customized burgers, 2 shakes and 1 order of fries we blew close to 60 bucks. Shakes have a bit more variety and are better quality- in addition to the usual vanilla chocolate and strawberry, you can get bacon, banana, PB, salted caramel and lotus biscoff. Some have said their burgers are bigger but IMO they look to be the same size.

I love 5 Guys, but 43 bucks for single patty burger, a hot dog, 1 regular fries, and 2 drinks is out of control. Maybe it's just California, but in upstate NY, these are sit-down restaurant prices for my family of 4 at many local restaurants.
