Felix's Bbq With Soul - La Costa

First timers and we will be back! We had the baby back ribs, bbq chicken, fried catfish, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac n cheese, veggies and candied yams. The food was delicious and service was great!

This is without a doubt the best and most authentic Southern food in San Diego. This easily competes with establishments in the South. For my first trip, I got delta catfish, black eyed peas, braised cabbage, and cornbread. The catfish was huge, crispy on the outside, and soft as a cloud inside as good as it gets. Black eyed peas were perfect and are served more like a soup with mirepoix. The cornbread reminds me of my grandmother's, but a hint sweeter. Next time, I'll trythe barbecue.

I was shocked to see that there was a legit BBQ place just down the street from my office. The food was great! The dining area was small and part of their catering operations, but they didn?t disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and the brisket was moist and flavorful. I?m going to be back!

This is the stop for a comfort food meal. My go-to is the chicken sandwich. They had a small seating area anda great system for to-go orders. I pay around $14 for the meal tip and it always hits the spot.
