This review is about my visit 4/14/19 to celebrate my birthday, but I've had multiple similar experiences fwiw. We had a reservation for 2 on Sunday but still had to wait 30 minutes for a table. When I make reservations, I expect the restaurant to *reserve* seats for me; instead, we waited just as long as walk-ins. To make matters worse, it took 20+ minutes for us to get the check. My server, Jamie, was so sweet, but she was dealing with a terribly rude and picky party by herself and she was running (literally) all over the place. Again, these are clearly management problems. The food was fine, maybe even good, but my experience was terrible and left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a Descanso member, but I won't be eating at Maple any time soon.
The service was above average from the hostess to our waiters. And the management was just unbelievably courteous and attentive to our needs would highly recommend coming for any occasion would suggest getting reservations
Update: Excited to be heading back here soon! Can't wait to see what's on the menu. I went here with my sister for a walk around Descanso Gardens and brunch. Everything we ordered was tasty, made well, and fresh. I enjoyed everything we had. It's a smaller space but I think it would still work for moderately sized groups.
Terrible service at this restaurant. I suggest they make it reservation only instead of telling guests it will only be a 30 minute wait, and then extending that wait to 35... then 40... and then finally 55 minutes later. The hostess was just picking names, not paying attention to who arrived first and reservations. After being seated after almost an hour wait time, I was hoping the food would at least redeem the restaurant for such awful service, but no. Cold food. The service was unacceptable and I am embarrassed for the restaurant. For a weekend brunch place, you would think they would know how to handle this much traffic, but it seemed like they were very unorganized. sorry to say I won?t be coming here again or recommending it to anyone.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first time visit at this resturant. He had the French Toast, which was thick and rich, served with fresh orange slices and I had the Maple Delta, the equivalent of a decadent BLT spilling over thick slices of ciabetta bread. Our server, Rozette, was friendly helpful and attentive. We made reservations online, which was super helpful and easy, we had only a few minutes wait time on a very busy day. Overall we were very pleased with the entire experience.
