Unfortunately, we had the most unpleasant experience. We had a wonderful lunch at this place, and decided to return the next day. The staff welcomed us in and asked us to wait while they find us a place. In seconds, another staff member came up to us and pointed to the door and bluntly told us to 'go outside '. I don 't know if this was a racist thing, or just someone having a bad day, but his conduct was completely uncalled for. Even the other staff members did nothing when we told them why we were leaving. This was quite an unpleasant experience in our otherwise wonderful vacation. We won 't be coming back.
Super good nepali restaurant, everything in the menu was Gluten Free if you discarded the nan. I felt really safe about the meal and didn't feel sick at all. Very recommended
Yak and Yeti is a hidden culinary gem that takes you on a delightful journey through the flavors of Nepal and India. The warm and inviting ambiance, combined with the attentive staff, sets the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. The menu is a fusion of aromatic spices and authentic ingredients, resulting in mouthwatering dishes bursting with flavor. From the tender tandoori meats to the fragrant curries and freshly baked naan bread, every bite is a tantalizing delight. The restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every dish, making Yak and Yeti a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts craving a taste of the exotic.
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. They have longer opening hours compared to other places in the area, and there were plenty of available tables when we arrived at 7pm on a Friday. They offer a good selection of vegetarian options, and the naan bread is especially tasty.
Halal chicken and mutton! This was the most delicious place in Japan. We had a long tour throughout the country and I was missing home cooking so much- and I cannot describe how delicious and fresh and just incredible it was! It was so hot and fresh and the chicken and mutton were halal! It absolutely deserves to be at the top of your places to visit in Kyoto, especially if you're observing a halal diet (salam : The butter chicken curry and the spicy fried rice were favorites! Also the server (Nanu was just an angel! Sooo sweet! Loved her!! Such a kind and warm server who genuinely cares about your dining experience and made reccomendations when she thought food choices would better compliment for a more optimal dining experience
