Taigu - Kyoto

An absolutely brilliant place to go for delicious food, delicious beer and a relaxing environment. The service is absolutely fantastic as our waiter was very happy, and it didn't matter to wait for us to pay our bill. Super friendly! I'd be back.

This is a local Japanese pub with amazing hearing and burgers. We ordered the double IPA beer together with the Monster Burger and Salad. Everything was amazing, but the extraordinary thing was the kindness and respect you see from the staff. We paid the bill and were already from the pub all the cook followed us for our visit. They only receive such standards in Japan.

Great traveler pub. Good mix of locals and foreigners. Location is directly on the subway. Very good selection of local craft beer. I spent both nights in Kyoto. The food didn't try, but the beer was great. Payable (1200 yen for a full pint) but a firm place to get a local beer without worries.

This is a friendly, well-lit place with an excellent Japanese craft beer selection including IPAs that I prefer. It is very different from the domination of Irish pubs in the city and was not smokey when I went there twice. The beers are inexpensive. Tadg is often there, like his efficient and friendly wife.

Try some of the local Kyoto Brewing craft beer. Their house yeast is of Belgian origin and their Saison style beers are excellent. Ask the staff if they have Saison or something similar on tap.
