They raised the bar about sushi and sashimi. I never experienced fresh wasabi before and with those amazingly delicious sushi, i was just really happy.
Awesome fresh sushi. The eel was especially tender and amazing. A tad bit pricey though.
The quality of the ingredients was very good, but the preparation was not worth the price. The rice in the nigiri broke when you pick it up, skimped on the wasabi, and the tempura shrimp was too oily. The miso broth tasted very good, but the piece of fish in mine was just a 1 x 1 bone. I thought was intentional until I noticed others around me had actually chunks of meat. At 7k yen a person, it is in the more expensive tier of sushi spots in Kyoto, but relatively poor in quality.
The best I and my GF ever had in our lives. And the price is nothing crazy and INSGESAMT is worth it. Also, great service, both from the cook and from the nice lady who served us. If you're in Kyoto, you have to come!
