We were greeted in a very friendly way and sitting on the counter, so we could observe how the boss prepares our sushi. My favorite sushi was the university (Sea urchin) and the superior quality tuna. The price is fair and we want to come back before we leave the city.
Best Sushi I had in Japan. found this small place after exploring the shrine. At first I thought it was quite expensive for university students on a budget. My friend and I ordered a set. She also ordered Misssuppe and I ordered an additional part of Scallop nigiri. The sashimi slices must be the thickest I saw in my life. They were fresh and extremely full. We fought to finish everything, but we did because it was so delicious. The chefs were friendly and gave us every dish of fresh fruit for free. It ended only ¥ 3,000 in total. This is much more worth than to the cheap '¥100 per plate places' as it is fresher. You'd probably save more money. If we could come back, we would be every day.
One of the best sushi I had on Japan (in my life in general)! We came back three days in a row. Very fresh, tasty you can't stop it. The place itself is very beautiful, old-fashioned in a good way. The place in you want to hide when a typhoon rolls through the Kyoto
It seems as if the place is in the middle of nowhere and fortunately there was an English sign with working time. To check the entrance with the photo on Google Maps and open the door. The best sushi is always waiting for you. The place is so authentic, it feels like you're a guest in her house. Once you order (from the English menu, byc), the sushi hand is made for you. The freshest, thickest, delicate fish is what we have. Also ordered false soup and will. Total for 2 ppl 4100 yen.
This sushi restaurant is one of my best favorite. Fish on the rice is actually big I have ever experienced, love it! (They may not speak English but they have nice translated menu)
