This is by far (as very, very far the best North Indian bbq i in kyoto (and I have lived here for 4.5 years now.) the chicken ktikka, chicken tandoori and shrimp tandoori, which I ordered as add-ons for my lunch, was so impeccable and very favorable. two pieces of chicken ktikka is about 220 yen or 2 usd, 1 stick of chicken tandoori is 340 yen or a bit over 3 usd, and 440 yen for the garnels. all are big, but the most valuable add-on among them is surely the ktikka. the midday set for which I went is the most basic with 2 curries (of their choice; here I have for chicken masala and mutton masala and their choice of carb, either basmati reis or naan. the price is 1,100 yen or about 10 usd. it's a good one. the curry tastes good, although a tad to slander for me (but not as literally 'bland' . it also comes with its choice of chai or coffee.
Very friendly and dedicated owners of this restaurant welcomes them personally to this place. it is very cozy. eating is amazing. we usually had vegetarian eating and eierkur. everything is made fresh and tastes authentic Indian food. for our stay in tokio, kyoto and osaka and with few Indian restaurant, this is divided into all aspekten.
The most delicious Indian food I have ever eaten! The first and thus oldest Indian restaurant in Kyoto and you can really taste how much passion goes into the cooking and everything is a feast for the eye. The staff is very friendly and the kind owner very passionate about the Indian cuisine. I got their recommended dish and through this way I learned how to eat Indian cuisine the way it is intended. Everything was so delicious and I had many things to try from the Thali dishes, mixing all the flavours together with the fragrant basmati rice, roti and naan. I would definitely recommend this place when you are looking for a break from Japanese food and want a flavour feast.
I was astonished by this restaurant. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. Had the Mughal Special Dinner—highlights were the chicken tikka masala (never had anything with this kind of depth of flavor) and the Gouda and blue cheese stuffed naan. Service was impeccable and extremely gracious.
