Kura - Kyoto

The beer was great and Jason was a great host (thanks!). Helpful to have an expat, give some advice about the city. A bit hard to find in the shopping center above, but worth the effort for a pre- or post-dinner drink. Look at the British flag shop.

Kura Bar has such a wonderful atmosphere and the owners were also very friendly. They really seemed to care for their customers. Although the bar was small (which I enjoyed more) it had a living feeling for it. 10/10 Recommend this bar to anyone who comes to Kyoto.

It is cozy and strategic place in the middle of the Teramachi crowd . The kindness of the bartender makes the drinks special. Come and enjoy your favorite drink with your friends and loved ones here. You get the different feeling!!

Such a gem the owner was very friendly and accommodating. I’m Japanese brought up around there but he definitely knows more Japanese culture in many ways. He put a lot of jokes whenever he comes to our table. There was definitely greatly warm atmosphere at the bar where you easily talk with the other employee or the other customers. I’ll be back!

Originally we were going to another bar but they closed but this place is great . Good drinks , food prices the only thing was we kept having to get their attention but would come bak again
