Hamacho - Kyoto

The restaurant offers quite a diverse range of Japanese cuisine, with something on the menu for everyone. We sat at the counter and the chef was really attentive and helpful, as indeed are all the staff. And it's all reasonably priced.

We stayed 4 days in Kyoto and had dinner twice in this restaurant. It was amazing. Sitting at the bar, watch the cook while enjoy fabulous food. And prices are super affordable. We made a cooking class while in Japan, but sitting was watching this boss felt like a free cooking class on how to prepare sashimi. Very recommended.

The place feels very authentic and traditional. The service was phenomenal and the food was incredible. We tried the kaiseki, which was delicious and a good idea to taste a bit of everything from Japanese flavors.

Great restaurant at the price. Amazing service and very good food in a traditional Japanese restaurant. Had an amazing New Year's dinner here.

Great restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We had the salad, grilled chicken and teriyaki chicken dishes. All tasted great! Presentation of the chicken dishes could be better.
