Amazian Mountain River Lodge

'Home away from Home ' has got to be an understatement for Amazian Mountain and River Lodge. This privately owned lodge by Brent and Trudy was out of this world amazing. My husband and I stayed at this wonderful lodge over a long weekend and was treated like royalty. This places forces you to completely unwind and become one with nature. Amazian is amazing! There was some miscommunication from our side regarding my dietary requirements and the Lodge was informed that I am vegan. Best mistake ever! The first night I got to enjoy the most filling, wholesome vegan meal I have ever had. They went above and beyond to give me a unique and nutritious vegetarian meals for the remained of the stay. One of the most amazing getaways we've had in a very long while. The hosts and staff were simply incredible and so professional. They genuinely cared about your wellbeing, and also showed a genuine interest in you. They were also great conversationalists! I could talk to Brent for hours! We really felt at home there. A lovely picturesque rural location. Very hospitable hosts. Meals were excellent. A true get away from it all destination.

The room was OK, but the hostess was adamant pushing her beliefs down on us and while breakfast was being served she went on and on about horrific images about what smoking caused someone she knew… I didn't even eat my breakfast, I wanted to book out yesterday already… But Underberg was full, so we left this morning. I couldn't eat dinner last night, nor breakfast this morning. What I paid for was not worth the experience.
