I went here because I wanted to experience a traditional Japanese coffee shop. The owner of the coffee shop is pleasant but the menu is only available in Japanese. I wouldn't mind if the food I got were a Japanese surprise but all the food is European. The coffee is overpriced, and compared to other restaurants the food is expensive. However, it is very tasty. I think this is probably for tourists who don't like Japanese food. I don't think I will come again.
The coffee left a bit to be desired, because it was not freshly brewed and the cup was small for ¥500. Also there was no coffee menu available. Cash and Paypay only.
Nice place run by a retired chef of French cuisine who worked at Okura Hotel in Tokyo but many things can be improved there such as: Let the customer sit first show the menu put nice music not too loud make a fresh coffee. I went there for a coffee and, during my entrance dealing with my umbrella in a rainy and cold day, the owner started asking if I was there for coffee or food. When I said that is for coffee, he automatically said: “OK, coffee” as if he got the order. When I asked for menu, he replied that there wasn’t any menu. I asked for what kind of coffee was available, he mentioned many types so I got the house blend that, sincerely, it tasted like a not fresh brewed coffee, weak and not good taste for ¥500. Payment by PayPay or cash. French dinner available of you reserve 3 days in advance. Showa style deco. Menu are outside.
This cafe is operated by a Japanese old man. He open very sharp *at 5.30pm onwards). I like the atmosphere of this cafe as it makes me feel like I'm sitting inside a 1980s Japanese house. I ordered an omurice and it's delicious. But please be patient to the owner as he is the only chef doing everything.
