Miyataya - Kusatsu

I decided to stop by this small restaurant on my first day of visiting Kusatsu. Ordered the hirekatsudon, and was expecting to get only the bowl, but instead was greeted with this delightful assortment of delicacies. And every part of the meal was tasteful and flavorful, for a very reasonable price. It’s nothing short of amazing that the two employees working the restaurant were able to make such delicious food, whose colorful presentation is also beautiful, in such a timely manner. Would suggest.

The food here is so wonderful and the service is great! We loved eating here on a cold snowy day.

Small traditional Japanese restaurant ran by a very friendly family. Went there at noon in December and found a table luckily. I ordered a sashimi set, donkatsu set, and Nabeyaki udon, 2 draft beers all were fantastic and very affordable at around 4000 yen total. They don’t have an English menu so I just used the Google translate camera function, worked well.

A small traditional Japanese restaurant run by a very humble and polite couple. Food was really great and fresh. Price is very reasonable in this area.

First time visit here and this place is no question but 5 star restaurant. We got several vegetarian options and they are all great! I got a cold soba noodle with grounded mountain potato
