Chicken was definitely tasty and nicely seasoned and the meat was juicy. They didn't offer to cut it into pieces like other shops do. And, it wasn't hot. Not even warm enough. It needed a good nuke in the microwave at home. Same with the potato bake (which was delicious). Another nuking. They either need to turn up their heat lamps or not put out so much at one time. I bought this meal at 6pm on a rainy Friday night when the food should be rotating quickly (certainly, they had a good steady stream of customers). If the food was hot I'd give Super Rooster a solid 4 out of 5.

This is one of the best charcoal chicken outlets in Melbourne. They use cage-free, La Ionica chicken with no steroids, no hormones, no chemicals. The chicken is charcoal roasted to perfection for that extra tasty skin and moist flesh. The chicken contains a very nice stuffing. The chips are well-cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and with VERY GENEROUS portions! Their potato cakes are also excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient, the service is fast, and they never get your order wrong. The outlet has two large drinks fridges containing a wide array of beverages, and with the whole range of Coke drinks in small, medium, and large.<br/ <br/ Downsides: stuffing may not be gluten-free. Contact shop for information.<br/ <br/ THIS IS A CASH-ONLY outlet, but there is an ATM just 50m away inside the shopping centre, and also a simple cash-out (no items required) option at the Coles next door.

Hands down the best charcoal chicken in the state! Absolutely delicious chicken, great chips and gravy. Great and friendly service too! Definitely recommend this place.
