Poacher Hound - Kurunjang

A spacious and beautiful space for a quick bite or business meetings. When I walked in, I noticed they offered a lot of take away options at a good price for the busy weekday workers.Their menu is a mix of modern Australian and asian which is great as is caters to everyone’s taste. I their poked bowl and it was so fresh, very filling and tasty. Also tried their salads and those too were quite generous. Will defs be back to try their other food. The staff were incredibly friendly and very prompt with their service. Awesome place and I’m so glad I found this hidden gem near my home and work.

So friendly staff and excellent service at this spot. Also the best choice for coffee in the local area. St Ali coffee beans are always good.

Late last year my manager took us out for lunch at Poacher and Hound, a lively and modern cafe nestled in a business park area of Mount Waverley. I wouldn’t of even known of the place if she hadn’t taken us there! It immediately looked promising when we entered. The decor was similar to what most hipster cafes are like in Melbourne these days with the mix of modern industrial and timber elements.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Egg Mistress which had 2 coddled eggs, cheesy potato puree, bacon, chives and toast. The cheesy potato puree stood out for me immediately as I love both cheese and potato dearly, so had to order it. It was pretty delicious and worked really well with the dish!<br/ <br/ My collegues ordered the Wagyu beef burger and one of their specials of the day which I think was duck with polenta. Both said their dishes were good too.<br/ <br/ Service was also efficient and friendly so I’ll definitely be back for lunch with my colleagues! <br/ <br/ H

Good cafe in an unsuspecting location. Service was good, warm welcome and we were provided appropriate time for drink/food selection. Nice ambience, good background music and well spaced area. Coffees were good. Food was also good. Ordered the beef burger and the special fried chicken burger, both well executed. Good spot for a lunch/brunch outing.

Went on a cycling trip in the early morning to brunch at Poacher Hound mount Waverly) and meet up with some of the best melbourne Foodies   the place is in an industrial area , great lunch spot if you work around , this is a spacious cafe with a good atmosphere,  the staff is Lovely and the Coffee Machine is GORGEOUS haha  …
