With a funky vibe and fitout, dining here is a comfortable experience and it's heaps of fun.<br/ <br/ The staff are so lovely and service was really quick. The toasties themselves were so fresh and delicious. The Fun Guy was filled with juicy mushrooms and was so tasty. The Cuban had tender meat and loads of flavour and the bread on both toasties was crisp and delicious. They also have fab coffee here and some sweet treats. Also a fab place for take away, Aphro and Wolfe is a friendly place churning out fab toasties with loads of loyal customers who just love these crispy delights.
Delicious toasties and good price. Shared the Mac and cheese and the Cubano and smashed both in 10 mins. Conveniently located if you’re heading into the city, or a nice place to relax and enjoy the vibes
Great coffee, laid back service and retro fitout. The toastie blew my mind; three cheese with added ham! Suh. Blime. So very rich, oozy cheesy tasty goodness everything a toastie should be, right?! I cannot stand when I’m served a toastie and it’s dry, or the bread can’t handle the filling and just squishes or slops. This toastie held its posture. Crispie buttery outer crust. And the generous oozy cheese combo was cheddar, mozzarella and haloumi... yasssss! Probably didn’t need the ham but I didn’t quite know what I was getting... but loved it just the same. Only thing, would have been finished off well with a side of something pickled... like a cucumber or onion... just needed that tart hit to relive the choise!Noted were the sheer number of peeps coming for toastie takeaways. Awesome for a drive by indulge. Also, we went on a Monday and the Reuben toastie was not available as they’d sold out Sunday; so that’s a good sign! Next time I’ll be back to sample that Reuben! If I could I’d give this place 4.5 stars.
What a great place for brunch. One the quieter side of Brunswick Street this is a really cool cafe. <br/ <br/ With an old school retro fitout this cafe has a relaxed vibe which was perfect for a quiet brunch. The service was excellent! <br/ <br/ My strong skinny latte was really good, flavoursome and not bitter.<br/ <br/ I ordered bacon and poached eggs and this was spot on. I really enjoyed this meal. The bacon was crispy and the eggs, yummy.<br/ <br/ My partner had a toastie which I tried and it was really tasty too, I can see why this cafe specialises in them.<br/ <br/ And this cafe was quite cheap making it an excellent alternative to other places. Definitely worth a visit!<br/ <br/
Toasties are large (can share or cover two meals) and are crisped perfectly on the outside. The ham they use is off the bone and thick cut which is a nice change to the standard ham n cheese toasties most places offer. Today I tried the Reuben. I’ve had Reuben sandwiches at other cafes which were far too greasy to eat. However, the one here is perfect. Still very rich, but not too much mayo, and a good amount of tangy pickle which balances out the flavour.
