Contribuiți la feedbackGood quality fried squids, shrimps and fish. We were the only Chinese family there, but everyone was so friendly. Whole family of three eaten so much and bi was a very reasonable 60rm. The fish chocolate paste in banana leaves) was superb, but could not eat too much.
I'm 18. Dec. 2021 from this place, do not perceive that it was before its opening time. The friendly uncle (Pakcik there told me that their opening hours were about 12 to 7:00, and asked me to be safe as it was heavily raining. We came back the next day and realized that there is a parking lot for those who want to stop at the restaurant. We just wanted to have some keropok lekor, but at the end there is a lot to eat, as the restaurant offers an assortment of kuih muihs, fried snacks, desserts and even meals. You can choose to have lonely (that was a tasty, decent size bowl with lots of cue and raw vegetables! , laksa Penang, mee kari, nasi goreng with lauk and package nasi lemak. There are fried seafood, kekodok, grilled SATA (this tasted sweet and not to my taste, but it was very cheap RM2 for 5 pieces! , fried ikan kembong (my father loved that he said it was cheap and very fresh! and cucur udang (I gave this a miss it tasted mostly flour. The keropok lekor (3 pieces for RM1 were small but tasty. Externally crucifixed and soft inside. You did not have the crispy type of keropok lekor, which you can often find in Klang Valley. We came back the next day before 6:00. Most kuih muihs were gone. I had laksa penang (it was okay, but a bit watery for my taste, mee goreng (nice and a bit spicy and picky pelita (here is what I think it is but unlike most versions, the syrup is separately packed and tasted completely bland without it haha . In the evening, remember that most of the kuih muihs and lekor will be gone, but if you want, the udang goreng and ikan goreng, they even keep it on the evenings (the bestseller mah and people come in trieben to buy them so no worries. UPDATE: We came on the 15th May 2022 back before 1:00. Because it was a long weekend, the place was full. The famous fried fish and shrimp were delicious as usual, but you need to wait and eat (usually the fish as there are many people. On arrival the coconut had not yet opened, but we could have some coconut water before our departure. It's a bit watery, with ice, but still refreshing after they roasted food. If you want, you can get the big (RM5 it's really HUGE! or the regular (RM3 . You can get the likewise refreshing line chee kang (dessert with toppings even if you want. There was no keropok lekor that was sold today, but there are many other street stands that do.
One of the MUST VISIT seats when you are in Kuantan. The variety of foods (Nasi Dagang, Laksam, All the celup tepung and many others), Desserts (Lompat tikam, etc) and kuih-muih made me realize how ingenious Malay Cuisines are actually. In the last 5-6 years come and the taste is almost unchanged. Exceptional. And the price? That's the best. One of the cheapest GREAT food you could find in Kuantan.
Celup tepung speciality... there is sata as well.. taste nice and fresh squid and prawn.. went there in school holiday but still can accommodate customer.. the price is reasonable
The reason to Kuantan is for the food. Well. Terengganu and Kelantan maybe too far to drive from Kuala Lumpur for celup tepung but this is okey. Heaven I would say. Fish, prawns are fresh, keropok lekor is also good. But satar is the best of all. Like really good. The place is by the roadside, hence you may take your chance to park by the roadside. The queue might not be long, but there's queue for prawns and fish and satar. Once replesnish, they will be gone in seconds! Price is reasonable. Your may get more variety of food in Terengganu and Kelantan though, with more tables. Totally recommended.
