Pizzeria Al Centro - Kreuzlingen

En route back to our hotel in Konstanz from a day trip to the lovely city of Lucerne in Switzerland, we decided to park in the nearby town of Kreuzlingen with the aim of finding a suitable restaurant. After walking around for a while and completing a tour of the main street, we realised that apart from Italian fare and American drinks, there was little on offer. With the attitude of 'any port in a storm ' we happened upon the Pizzeria Al Centro in Station Road and we were given a warm welcome by the man on duty. The cafe was clean and bright with bench-type tables and stools and we opted for a Pizza Margheritta and a pasta dish of Prosciutto e Funghi (ie ham, mushrooms, tomato sauce and cream) When they arrived, they were plentiful in content, piping hot and really tasty, so much so that I was able to consume all eight slices of pizza at one sitting! As it was a very hot evening, we asked for two ice cold bottles of water each and they were a perfect accompaniment to the meal.

Unfortunately it wasn't enjoyable. There's no point in offering the pizzas so cheaply if they have no taste.

Very clean, the food was very good. The service was friendly and accommodating.

Good pizza for a fair price. Baking the pizza is quick, and even at lunchtime you almost never have to wait in line! The staff is friendly and uncomplicated.

Price-performance top!! Very very tasty pizzas!!
