Nice hotel in great surroundings. We (couple 50 to 60) were there for the first and certainly not for the last time (for 5 days). Very nice owner and very nice staff. The food is a bit expensive but phenomenally good (what a delicious carbonara sauce with homemade spaghetti). The breakfast is great, the beds are very large and comfortable. We also used the garden to relax. The area is sometimes very strenuous to walk (e.g. Cprnik with rocket ascent and descent). Planica (ski jumping center) 17km round trip also within walking distance. Unfortunately, there are hardly any serviced huts on the mountain tours. The town of Kranjska Gora is actually geared towards mass tourism and some of it is expensive... an absolute railroad area. Absolutely loved Hotel Lipa! The family that runs it take such pride in the hotel and restaurant (and Slovenia they are all wonderful! Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Especially loved the shower! The restaurant is the best we went to in Slovenia. Be sure to do a wine tasting too! Highly recommend! Location is also perfect right in the centre of Kranjska Gora and the start of the Vrsic Pass (a must do! .
