Not sure why this is one of the best breakfast place... foods/coffee are really really really BAD... foods tastes that they cooked the day before ... dim sum (rm6.50/cart) not sure can call it dim sum as it comes in metal containers n really really HARD n BAD ... DO NOT VISIT... highly disappointed ... toast (rm2.20) are hard n 'burn too n the highly reviewed, packet nasi lemask (rm2.80) rice is overcooked (can get better one in any mama stores in KL... the WORST foods taken for the last 5days we are in kota kinabalu... DO NOT VISIT (couldn 't help but to stress more than once)...

Fook Yuen Cafe is chinese breakfast style restaurant. It is strategically located along the Gaya street with many hotels, thus it also attracted many tourist to eat here. The food here is value for money with plenty of selections and it opens until late night. This is what we tried: 1) nasi lemak packet taste was good, sambal was slightly spicy 2) kaya butter toast taste was just ok, butter quality wasn’t that good 3) fried noodle it was ok, flavorful enough to fill your stomach 4) siu mai it was chicken and surprisingly it was good, meat was tender and juicy 5) kopi peng coffee taste is there, not too diluted

Choices aplenty from array of ready made buffet style assortment of food. Had a crowd during breakfast. Clean, neat, fan circulated area. Missed it as a separate eatery when passing it from across the road. Oldtown White Coffee next door. Charged SST 6% at bill.
