Hungry Marlin Restaurant Bar At Cove Resort Palau

The service was very friendly, but that’s the only positive aspect I can mention. The starter was of mediocre quality, and my main course was disappointing. I ordered my steak medium well, but it was served rare. After I raised my concerns, the steak was simply reheated and brought back to me, which didn’t improve it at all. It’s clear they have a fondness for animals, as I spotted a mouse scurrying through the restaurant and another rather large one (or possibly a small rat) hanging around the pool bar. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

The Hungry Marlin is a fantastic spot to relax with a drink after spending a long day in the sun. The pool is spacious, and the restaurant features an open-air setting with stunning views of the nearby islands. They offer locally brewed Red Hahn beer, along with a selection of excellent cocktails. The menu is extensive, offering a wonderful variety that caters to both upscale dining and family-friendly options. I am definitely looking forward to dining and drinking here again.

I visited three places in Coror, and I can’t say enough good things about The Bay. I only spent three weeks there, but it was absolutely fabulous. The breakfast buffet was great, featuring an array of options, including boiled eggs. They also have a fantastic happy hour from 4 to 7 PM with drinks for $4, including Kona beer. The appetizers are a bit pricey at $8 for 4 wings, but they were exceptional, and the 6 jalapeño poppers were also very good. The rooms were lovely, and the location is convenient, being close to the best dipping shop on the island (Sam’s). The swimming pool is excellent for relaxing and enjoying a beer in the afternoon. The staff, all of whom are Filipino, provided efficient and friendly service.

I ordered the steak medium well and got it served rare. After complaining about the mistake, I just got my steak heated again and served again. That did not make the steak any better ... But obviously they love animals here, I saw a mouse walking through the restaurant and another big mouse (or little rat) walked friendly near the pool bar. Unfortunately, no recommendation.
