Koshe Kosha Ripon Street - Kolkata

Kolkata Trip is incomplete without traditional Bengali food. However, I didn't get time to visit a few more places. But whatever I could do it in a handful moments was enough.<br/ <br/ I had an amazing meal at Koshe Kosha which is popular for their authentic Bengali cuisine. I went with two of my Italian friends and ordered a number of dishes.<br/ <br/ Food Kosha Mangsho, Shukto, Murgir Jhol, Mangsho Pulao, Baked Paratha, and Chapatis.<br/ <br/ Taste I personally enjoyed the meal. The palette was full of flavors with some authentic spices and curries. The chicken dishes were awesome. Soft, fresh, and well cooked. Kosha Mangsho was not spicy but still had a strong flavor of onion and garlic. Murgi Jhol was my favorite of them all because of the gravy. It was creamy and spicy and delicious all together. Pulao was very good. It had a nice smell and the veggies were well cooked. Shukto, was a different curry totally, it has few veggies and coconut base gravy making it tastier. Baked Paratha was nothing but a simple Laccha paratha for me.<br/ Presentation Food was served in large bowls although the quantity was fair enough for three of us. Located in a very known place in Ripon Street, it has a very good staffs with its awesome ambience which gives you proper bengali vibe

Tried non veg thali. Had good variety of local food. Mutton mangshow was there speciality which was served in thali.2 vegetable were also nice and had unique taste.. Bengan pakoda was little more oily.. perfect place if you want to have Bengali food.

Koshe Kosha is one of the best restaurant in kolkata which serves authentic bengali cuisine at a reasonable price. They have many outlets in kolkata. I visited their park street outlet. I tasted there Basanti Pulao, Mutton Kosha, Chicken Masala and Handmade Rotis. All the items are extremely delicious. Their ambience and behaviour of the staff is also very good. I will like to visit there again.
