Anand Veg - Kolkata

Quite a popular packed place . Had the rava masala dosa. Quite crispy with a decent filling. (4/5 on taste)Sambar was tasty however needed a bit more vegetables. Just got a small piece of tomato and bean.(3/5)Chutney was good (3.5/5)Filter coffee was excellent ask the waiter to go easy on the sugar (4.5/5)Service was really fast and extremely polite waiters . Total bill came to just 165 and really value for money.

Went to Anand after hearing lots of about it being the best South Indian in Calcutta and it definitely lived upto my expectations. Staff is very polite and attentive and the food is excellent- tried the dahi wala, Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee. Def gonna visit again

The best South Indian food in Kolkata.The quality of food has been consistent over the years.The staff is courteous and prompt with their service. The Rava onion masala dosa and the idly is my favourite.A must visit restaurant which never disappoints.

Superb food ... especially the dhai vada and tutti fruity ice cream

Anand .. the word means Bliss... and eating here is one way to get it.I have eaten at Anand several times over the last 40+ years, and it is one of my favourite places for eating out.I am particularly fond of their authentic South Indian dishes like Masala Dosa, Idli, Vada, Dahi Vada. Special mention for their special Coconut chutney and Tutti Fruity Ice Cream.
