Charnock City - Kolkata (Calcutta)

1. I went to Charnock's around 9 pm. Beautifully decorated it was! 2. The staff was courteous, helpful and quick. 3. Food and drinks- yummy! 4. Area for improvement- need to upgrade their online payment facility.

Hey, in the beginning of this lecture i just want u all to know that this is the most favourite restaurant of mine... Its ambience and the decorations attracts me like magnet.. anyways lets come to the main part... before my last visit to Charnock 's I last visited the place 10yrs ago... but still i can recall those moments of fulko luchi daab chingri and mutton kosha 'jiv e jol asche 'Jai hok... lets come to the point... on Nabami i went there for lunch and i had ordered- Fish Finger which came with a green chutney... Badshahi Kebab with Mayo... a Virgin Mojito which really disappointed me) Steamed Rice, Alu Jhuri Bhaja, Sona moong Dal and my favourite POSTO R BORA as I belongs to a Ghoti Family) But the Size of that decreased by its half... : after that the most awaited time... Daab Chingri That never dissapoints me.. even the Eilish Bhapa was just amazing... most importantly that Nolen Gur er Ice cream it has heavenly peace with itself...

Charnock's .. Ahh this is just not a restaurant rather emotion for me.. Whenever m very happy, sad, some special occasion or otherwise i visit charnock's.. Most of my special days i try to spend there.. Ambience is awesome.. City view from 9th floor just one more layer of butter over a bread..Food quality is nice.. Staffs are very friendly and attentive .. I just love this place..

It's located just next to AMRI hospital in Salt Lake. The bar cum resturant being on the 9th floor provides a beautiful view of the area. Zomato gold members can avail 1+1 offer on food. We wanted to try out the Bengali cuisine and what better than bhapa hilsa. Food was well prepared and very tasty. The staff were warm and welcoming. Will definately be back to try some other cuisine.

We had been here on a celebratory visit of our host, quite some time back and unfortunately I absolutely do not have any pictures showing what absolutely gorgeous these items were. So you just have to take my word for it.<br/ <br/ We started off with soup and kebabs, very well prepared, amazingly soft and juicy. I'll skip these and come to the main menu.<br/ There had been Lobster Thermidor. This has to be the best lobster preparation I have had in a long time. The lobster cut into bite sized cubes for ease of having, with an amazingly seasoned cream sauce, I can still taste them now, as I write this review so many days later!<br/ The presentation had been absolutely beautiful.<br/ <br/ Next up was Ilish Bhapa, steamed rice. The fish was of very good quality and amazing portion size (you know these need to be a good amount of oily, which is very appreciated) and the curry was well spiced. You could smell the mustard.<br/ <br/ Some of the invitees didn't have this, and the staff immediately cured up Kosha Mangsho for them, which I had the pleasure of tasting. Soft and delectable.<br/ <br/ I had a good experience with the staff and found service to be good!<br/ <br/ Thank you!<br/ Lobster Thermidor was the star. Definitely will be going back again for this!
