The English Rose Cafe Tea Room Llc

The tea room is absolutely gorgeous. While I imagine the regular menu is quite delightful, I cannot recommend the high tea experience. I was really looking forward to a traditional high tea and had planned a special birthday outing for my daughter and granddaughter. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that it cost over $60 for a single pot of hot water and three tea bags. The presentation was lacking and the owner even began turning off the lights at 3:45, which was a letdown. Despite our disappointment, the owner didn't seem to care. On the positive side, the other menu items looked appetizing and it's possible it was just an off day for the high tea service. I hope they have better luck in the future as the restaurant is truly stunning. Wishing them success in their business endeavors.

Our work took us to lunch at a Tea Room, which was a surprise to us as we were expecting a steak house. The limited drink options were disappointing to some in our group, but the hot tea turned out to be very good. The food options weren't to my liking, but our server Claudia was friendly, humorous, and provided great service. The prices were on the higher side. Overall, it wasn't exactly my preference.

The house is beautiful and the food is absolutely incredible!

My wife, who has a passion for Victorian-era items, became intrigued when we passed by the restaurant one day. As her 40th birthday approached, I thought it would be fun for her to celebrate with afternoon tea with her friends. After speaking with Claudia to make arrangements, she was very helpful and even asked about my wife's favorite colors to personalize the decor. My wife had a fantastic time at her party and is already talking about attending one of the upcoming events at the restaurant. Some of her guests also mentioned to me at church the next day how much they enjoyed the food and outstanding tea. My wife also praised the excellent service provided by the waitresses. Thank you for making my wife's 40th birthday such a memorable experience!

The setting is beautiful, the food is delicious, and they offer a nice selection of teas. The negatives are: the owner does not take credit, she added a 20% tip to each of our group of 4, charged tax on the total including the tip, and didn't have change for our cash payments. Our hostess was very pleasant but new and somewhat inexperienced. I felt that a 15% tip would have been appropriate but we didn't have the option to make that decision.
