Koen - Kofu

Their pizza was below average but the rest of the food was ok. The reason for 2 stars is that my partner and I felt sick after eating there.

I don't mind fusion food but the combinations here just didn't fit IMO.

There are times when I wish I could delete many of the five star ratings that I have given restaurants because they come over eating so extraordinary that it deserves to stand over most others. lunch, in coen, represented one of these times. our taste buds were thrilled by the diverse, delicate and inventive aromes we presented. the chefs break from the typical and offer unique food experiences, including pizza, combined toppings and sauces that seemed random, but clearly thought out, conscious and well received by us happy recipients. we have also served in a magnificent stretch of locally grown grilled vegetables in pairs and perfect for the split between two expected diners. and the personal was friendly and courteous and even hastened to translate the daily offers into English. we enjoyed learning about their passion for eating and their restaurant. it was really an unforgettable lunch.
