Why? a few years ago we were already there after a hike in the wahner heath and have eaten very well. then the steakhaus el toro was there. after moving this steakhouse from Cologne-Porz to saint augustin (in el toro in saint augustin we have already eaten excellent, see my critique under [her link], the l 'arena in heidestraße 218 is moved in Cologne-Porz-Wahnheide. see if we find the quality we are used by el toro in saint augustin and that we have already experienced when el toro was still in Cologne-Porz. finding the ambiente a parking space is not difficult when they visit the l 'arena. less than fifty steps next to the l 'arena is a parking space that is available to the customers of a drink market, the guests of a pizzeria next to the l 'arena and only the guests of the l 'arena for free. but even if this parking space should be occupied, there are enough free parking spaces in the hot road in parking bays. the l 'arena invites its guests to the anthracite-colored tiled ground floor of a whitewashed multi-storey house. Despite the situation at the traffic-rich hot road, whose proximity is only perceived visually in the place, we give five stars. the service we are kindly greeted when entering a gentleman in the best man age. he takes care of us all the night and the first, in the course of the evening numerous guests of the restaurants. And this makes him professional, friendly, fast, caring, asking for the taste experience of eating and not paying with answer to ask. card payment, also with credit cards, is not a problem with payment. a leak on the cost of the house at the payment is of course also a matter. more of it later! we did not know what to do with the experienced service. accordingly we give five stars for the operation. the food of the serviceman leaves us free choice, we have not reserved. we like a foursome, we get the menu right away. as for a steak house there are steaks and steaks and steaks in all possible variations. hip steaks, entrecôtes and ragsteaks, bark meat fillets, lamb fillets and lamb back mainly served with salad, foil potatoes, steakhouse chips or croquettes. the beef comes from Argentina, according to our serviceman from New Zealand. few fish dishes are also on the map. we see the price level as quite normal, in few cases even as favorable. in the meantime, our man has received the drinks from the service. my wife chooses a merlot that at 6,50 € for a fifth beats quite high price book, but it tastes so good that it takes a second in the evening. Once our serviceman has listed our orders, he also serves us the greeting from the kitchen that is rich and tasteful. crispy, roasted bottle in a silver metal basket and two white porcelain dishes with red and white intact presents us the camarero. the red content proves to be a preparation for consumption, near the Turkish antep ezme shows: wobble, paprika, tomato, olive oil. the white content is a yogurt preparation with dill and garlic. tastefully both dives are excellent, so we must draw the generous amount of amuse gaule to leave space for the following dishes. our work with the greeting from the kitchen is grateful then also interrupted by the presentation of the supplemental salads. various leaf salads, tomato bags, rakes, tweezers, mais, gurken slices and paprika strips are covered with a yogurt dress. the salat is excellent fresh, the dressur is delicious and makes the salat delicious. after the salat we don't wait long for our main dishes. the serviceman introduces to my wife a large plate with four lamb fillets, obviously homemade fries, a roasted tomato half and a fruit half, which tastefully reminds of a nectarine, but only remembers it. the four (always four) lamb fillets are excellently prepared, tender, pointed and medium-drenched. a tasteful fancy sauce refines the anyway good taste of lamb fillets. the horses are domestically cut and exemplarily spit. the dish served well hot is so generous that my wife has to fight with the last hints of her lamb fillet. this fight is not saved to me either. the good man of the service puts me a plate with three lambs back on a generously dimensioned back hill. the other supplements such as fraught by fries, tomatoes and half-obst make no difference to the supplements on the teller of my wife. the spinach is with lemon and garlic, but after my taste with too little lemon and garlic. yet the composition tastes excellent. also here the meat is prepared for the point as with the filets, juicy and has a pleasant redstaroma. a piece of very tasty crimped butter gives a taste cake. the parts are very generous, so we have to empty our plates. there is no place for a dessert. at the payment our service provider is generous in the name of the house. he offers us a digestivum. my wife as a passion is allowed to approve a grappa, I support an espresso at cost of the house. no objections to both approaches, espresso and grappa, mature in egg barrels, taste excellent. the five stars for eating are justified in our opinion. there is nothing to complain about. cleanliness no cleanliness! the dining room, the tables, the dishes and the best corner are perfectly clean. also impeccable cleanliness prevails in the toilets – male and female. it's worth five stars. the five stars for the price-performance ratio are actually mandatory. we were served very well, we also consider eating excellent. the only criticism of the price-performance ratio is concentrated on the price difference between the plentiful four lamb fillets at 19,50 € compared to the three lamb back pieces with spinat at 22,50 €. here the price calculation does not seem consistent. Despite this not quite clear calculation between these two things we keep the price-performance ratio for the l 'arena offers more than good. the conclusion of five stars at eating, service, ambiente, cleanliness and only four and a half stars at the price performances do not allow any other rating than: five stars, albeit close, to the conclusion or to speak with a kitchen trip: absolutely again!

No objections to both additions, espresso and grappa, matured in oak barrel, taste excellent. The five stars for the food are justified in our opinion. There's nothing to complain about. Cleanliness No tadel in cleanliness! The dining room, the tables, the dishes and the best corner are perfectly clean. Also impeccable cleanliness prevails in the toilets – males and females. It's worth five stars. The five stars for the price-performance ratio are actually mandatory. We have been served very well, we also consider the food excellent. Great restaurant, had several diners here. the quality of eating is excellent and the cook and the waitress are even better. I would be recommended to everyone!
We had a nice dinner, good quality eating and large portions. it was possible to ask for some and to pay with an additional fee per credit card.
The salat was impressive, which came with the white carving (i like salate). the colsh was refreshing (local cologne/koln beer).
