We are full time independent travelers so we have eaten in numerous types of restaurants throughout the world. We stopped at the Nyhavnscafeen after taking the Canal Tour Copenhagen. The restaurant is located along the canal and convenient. The food was tasty and the service was good. The price was your typical Copenhagen tourist price. Recommend if you are staying closer to Tivoli Gardens that you eat in that area as the food and prices are better.
I had dinner at but felt really sorry fr the waiter who was taking orders, pouring water, clearing dishes... it took ages to order (even though its not a large restaurant) and ages to get a second drink. And the portion was TINY (but tasty).
There is plenty of restaurants and bars in a compact area along a canal very close to many sights. You can sit inside but it is better outside as there are many tables for each restaurant and they do have heaters if needed.
All of the restaurants along the canal have tight seating. I'm glad we found this place scrunched up in the bunch of places to eat. We sat outside. We had a stroller and it still worked. The food was very good and so was the service !! They do have a restroom it's just inside downstairs.
