Contribuiți la feedbackAbsolutely delicious food, with smaller dishes served in sharing-style. All fresh and tasty from greens to fish and meat. Japanese food is so much more than sushi. We usually share 7-9 dishes for 2 persons. I very much enjoy drinking Sake, and this is one of the best places in Copenhagen to do that, with their large selection of different styles, also some very umami Sake, my favourites. All staff can tell you about the different Sake, but there is always at least one Sake-nerd at work who will tell you even more if you're interested. Fabulous! The staff is very kind and service-minded. The place has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere and works for a couple as well as for family and business.
Very enjoyable evening with good food and service. We decided on choosing individual dishes to share rather than the tasting menu and were well advised regarding allergies. The staff were friendly and attentive and added to the enjoyment of the evening. All of the food was good and tasty with the courgette flower and scallops being both tasty and very attractively presented. I also really liked the meat goyzas. The restaurant is fairly small with a couple of tables outside and was busy even on a Sunday evening so I would recommend booking in advance which is very easy online. The atmosphere was helped by the eclectic selection of music from the 70's and early 80's with a lot of West Indian West African songs rather than mainstream pop. The toilets were also unusual being Japanese that had some extra functions and a remote control. The prices reflected the quality and I would say were mid-priced (for Copenhagen). I would certainly want to return in the not too distant future.
In an inauspicious location down a side street in Vesterbro but what matters here is the food and this restaurant totally delivers. Really creative choices on menu and some specials. It is small plates for sharing so we tried loads of things and everything was fantastic. The environment is casual bistro style and there is a great atmosphere with music at perfect volume loud enough to hear and also hear yourself speak without shouting. Standard of service matched standard of food. I can’t recommend highly enough.
Two persons went there today with expectations and was recommended to choose the 10 course menu where the chief chose the dishes. Big big big mistake as only three of the ten dishes was something that was medium value and tasteful and the other seven was just filling to give us ten dishes. Totally waste of money and will never ever recommend anyone to choose the tasting menu. We were so disappointed that we are not sure that we will ever go there again.
Make sure you book; seating is limited. The food is superb; we had 5 or 6 dishes of various sizes. They arrived well spaced and in the right order for what we had ordered. The accompanying booze list was excellent; the local tap beer is a must for beer drinkers. It’s a tad expensive but you get what you pay for. Staff are excellent. The bathrooms are a slice of Tokyo.
