A Hereford Beefstouw - Koebenhavn

On arrival shown to our table which was lovely and looked out into tivoli . Process for ordering food and drink very straight forward although strange as first time I have ever had to tick a box and put a number to verify what I wanted and how I wanted it cooked . Starter of scampi arrived and it was lovely However after that was finished we sat for nearly 55 mins waiting on our mains The restaurant is big so we assumed it was busy A lovely waitress actually noticed us waiting and said she would check progress She disappeared and two second later she appeared with the food I had asked for a medium steak but it was slightly overdone and also was not particularly hot . None the less it tasted fantastic sides were amazing and there were lots of them . Mash potatoes again lovely but luke warm . I think the food had been left on a pass in kitchen and we had been forgotten. I mentioned this to waitress and right away she wanted ro compensate us and tbh she was brilliant I told her I was not looking for anything but felt it was worth mentioning as it did affect our experiance If the food had been delayed but come out hot I would have still given 5 stars but the fact it was nearly an hour after starter lukewarm and slight over done my wife order was medium steak also and it came out perfect albeit like warm also. .I must confess I would think twice before returning as I feel restaurant where steak is the menu they should get it spot on . Prices were reasonable for the area and the setting and ambience and buzz of the place fantastic . Young girl who served us was also fantastic and insisted on making amends so gave us our 1st drink beer and a juice free of charge which was nice . I am sure this was possibly a one off and if we had complained about the delay sooner then possibly the wait would have been reduced . But I do not go out to complain I go out to relax and if it does not live up to.expectation I will revue good or bad

Only visited by chance so not knowing what to expect (other than a lot of steak choices…! . But I really enjoyed the meal, on various levels; the food was excellent (I had the gravad lax to start, followed by sirloin steak ordered rare, which was spot on… ; the service was very efficient and friendly (and, a special mention to my waitress Kaisa I hope I got that right! who was so friendly and helpful . And, the wine list is frankly incredible for anywhere in Denmark…as in, very good indeed… so, five stars from me, no question…!

Not completely the A-H-B experience we are ‘vant’ to in Kolding ... ......

This was in Tivoli, so the restaurant was more decorated for large volume than cozy. Minded the most about a large cafeteria. The food tasted very good.

My steak was OK. For my companion there is a vegetarian, the supply was really rings (the grilled broccoli instead of meat)
