Next parking space under the week on the Florinsmarkt, parking machine, 1 hour 1,20 €. From the outside simply in comparison to India and Asia, as well as the current Christmas Bude Spectacle and the rides! An ad board with 2 lunch menus advertises guests: soup and dessert and optional Cordon bleu or Pizza Calzone €10.90 or €8.90 . Almost any other pizza I would have chosen, but no calzone. I don't like eggs either. Greeting and rejoining of 2 service personnel at the counter for the first guest, me. Agreed on a table at the window to the distance of well 10 meters, re-correction somewhat monosy, but friendly by the waiter who puts the cards on the other table. I had not seen the reservation when the coat was pulled out. Some interesting things in the map, no special recommendations and also not the day offers from the table. In the wine catalogue only Italian wines can be found under the Opens by 5 € for 0.2 l. Amazingly, the take-off prices for the bottle are about this price. My cubes have fallen, the boss himself takes up the order after a new greeting: menu with Cordon bleu and the Frascati for 5,20 €, which proves to be a good drinkable. She brings the wine, she brings the soup, polite, friendly, but she does not reveal the name of the soup. This isn't richly decorated now, but there is a green leaf of parsley and some tanned bread cubes on top of the plate. Hot it is, and it tastes very good for various vegetables, the vegetable cream soup of fine consistency with smallest pieces of zucchini, tastefully similar to a fresh peas potato cream soup. The soup fan likes it very much. In the meantime, the place has filled itself well, with running customers and a number of reservations from predominant regular customers, the welcome is once again a good piece more friendly, normal, right? The sound level swells, there is hardly anything that could absorb the sound. Stone floor, the walls are almost bald, on the tables a small table runner made of white fabric, the chairs are hard because unpadded, Osteria. Through a glass pane you can observe the work in the kitchen, the boss often in the middle. The main dish looks little impressive with a very thin cordon bleu, a mountain tomato rice and various blanched vegetables. But the cordon bleu is filled with gorgonnzola, the rice tastes fruity tomatoy, the vegetables al dente, however, does not leave the flavor clearly enough to emerge in all varieties. The dessert could be for a childbirth day. On a dessert plate you can find apple in colourful mess? , a foam, a piece of cake, popcorn, various fruit varieties and many splashes and puns of a fruit sauce. Ingenious, and tasted. Both male service personnel seemed somehow closed at work at the guest, after the misunderstanding in cashing I suspect speech deficits as a cause. My conclusion: Service: in the order of appearance 3 4 – 2 3 stars food: the kitchen has what on the pan 4 stars ambience: nothing for dinner 4 2 due to volume and hard seating, but relatively authentic 3 stars cleanliness: my standard, because no negative incidents, toilets not visited 4 star recommendation: yes, for lunch in all cases again
I lived in Germany for three years, and have visited a few times since then. I generally am very fond of German food and beers, although I mostly do not care for the pizza preparation and taste found in Germany, even at Italian resaturants. The...vegetable/Gemuse piizza here at the Osteria Novecentto, however, was the absolute worst pizza I have tried in any of the 45 countries I have visited. The ham and mushroom pizza and the prosciutto-tomato-mushroom pizza were likewise terrible. No one in our group of five was willing to eat more than one slice of each, hoping one of the pizzas would be more palatable than the other two. The service was also not good. I speak fluent German, and some Italian, but whatever language the server and then another who was called over to help translate, they did not seem to understand any question I had in any language. I also tried French. I am assuming they were Eastern European, and I speak none of those languages. They also had a weak beer selection, although to be fair, a broader wine menu is more expected in an Italian restaurant than beers. All five of us left hungry and aghast at how bad the food was here.
It was an interesting dinner evening at Osteria Novecento. Initial impression: Friendly reception, showed us to the back section of the restaurant plus...

We have been frequenting the Osteria for at least 15 years and have been amazed by the continuous great quality of the food and wine. Selection of wine is outstanding and the prices per bottle are very moderate.
