Koblenzer Brauerei-Ausschank

You may not believe it, driving south out of Koblenz along the Rhine, but the brewery on your right hand really has a well hidden restaurant. It is called Koblenzer Brauerei und Ausschank and besides having very good beer (try their bock) they serve good German food. I found the place just by chance having been walking in the hills behind the brewery (good view of the river) and looking for something to drink, ending up having a full dinner. Try it out, it was really worth it.

We were in the koblenzer beer garden today. that is the beer garden of the koblenzer brewery stall. in the opposite direction to the restaurant you are welcomed here also kindly. a somewhat unhappy but very friendly herr at the cash desk has tapped us a delicious pils and a very friendly lady (we still know from last year) in the kitchen prepared a delicious food. here we got the feeling not to be welcome by a murrical service power. in the beer garden we often turn in.Ins restaurant probably no longer.

That was served quickly but not well.You had the feeling that everything had to go very quickly.But it is worth a good dinner, because the food was very delicious. It is worth visiting!

A solo lunch visit today was disappointing. Here I am, newly resident in the area, following the old notion that a brewery restaurant always serves superior food. Sadly, in this case, the notion was disproved. My Rhenish Sauerbraten was not bad in appearance and presentation, but the flavor of the meat was sub-par. As an ex-executive chef trained in German and European food, I could immediately tell that the brine used was weak, lacked half the required spices and flavorings (especially red wine vinegar!) and was either commercial or just prepared without knowledge or love. As their new chef de cuisine is Bavarian, I suspect it may be because he hasn't quite hit is stride in making non-Bavarian dishes; indeed, their new menu is full of Bavarian specialties, which may be a huge mistake in an area like the Rhineland when one considers its entirely different culture and cooking. In keeping with the chef's heritage, I must say that the red cabbage and potato dumplings were excellent, however.Service was friendly although somewhat slow; the table next to mine had two draft beers served in Coca Cola glasses (a severe no-no in the profession), ad was also not impressed.As the restaurant has received a lot of negative press lately, I hope they pull their socks up soon.

Unfortunately, despite our request (and also a completely empty local) we were not allowed to sit out at warm temperatures, as this would disturb the operation. I can understand that this is not entirely without problems at nearly 40 perons, but we have been assigned an area in the interior which we have neither chosen nor wanted to sit there. the group was also registered in the long term. we were also referred to our inquiries after quite unofficial response to the manager of the service, which then reacted even more rudely than our previous service power and totally overwhelmed. with the actual answer to our question we had no problem with regard to the above-described herebtergünde, however, it is necessary to work on the service quality and the way the answer is. Since there is now no second chance for the first impression and an expected and fundamental courtesy in the gastronomy industry, we do not come back again. So kitchen good, service inadequate. Conclusion: the ton makes the music.
