Contribuiți la feedbackWe made a morning trip to Burg Eltz and planned a stop in Koblenz. I found the Cafe in one of the guide books I purchased and we were not overly impressed with the Cafe. The food was ok and there was only one women working so service was a bit slow. I needed to go in to ask for the English menu and then had to wait an extended amount of time to place and order. It was pretty nice that we sat down by another American that saw good reviews and were able to pass the time by talking.
We go past this place in the morning and notice a certain animation and we are dressed by the interior, it seems to be a welcoming place, we ask if they serve dinner, they confirm it and we arrive at 20.15 o'clock. the interior is human, so we decide to take at one of the tables in the open space where other are customers. we ask ourselves to take a place. we drink water and beer, a dish with smoked salmon, potato roast and mixed salad and a omelet with late zle (a kind of noodle omelet, because the gnocchi are not on the side but in the omelette) and mixed salad. the eating is good, you notice something carefully in preparation, but the service ... fastness does not seem to be the strength and steps, we have not in vain, but on the table stands a candle that does not remain ignited, and an ashtray full of extinguished pistons that it is not taken away, no broth; a single paper napkin with cute, not even a paper the waiter speaks English and is polite, but only cash payments are accepted. so we were a bit plexy.
We went there yesterday. Got the menu fast, but waited at least 15 minutes. Didn't get served despite being half empty. We went without getting anything.
The first morning we were in Koblenz (our 2nd visit), we walked around the old city center and saw this café on a side street, it has a very relaxing feel to it and the place is very pleasing to the eyes. So we went in and asked if they have an English menu. They did and the staff there speak very good English. The menu has many different types of breakfast from different regions to choose from. With the help of our waitress, my husband and I both chose the Small Breakfast. When they brought out our meal, there were so much food (different types of bread, cold cuts, cheeses, small side salad, and home-made jams) and they look so fresh and appetizing. We didn’t think we could finish our plates initially but we did! The cafe au lait that I ordered was so good also. My husband liked his cafe also (couldn’t remember what he ordered). Ended up the whole time we were in Koblenz (3 days), we visited café Miljoo at least once a day, it was very relaxing to sit there... After we came back home, I have tried replicating the breakfast…it is good but it doesn’t come close to what we had in Miljoo. Needless to say…we highly recommended
