Olive Garden - Knoxville

First I want to say how wonderful our waiter Gabe and the hostesses were. Service was attentive and well-done. The food may be another story I'm afraid. I ordered the shrimp scampi. What I received was slimy noodles with pieces of asparagus and little tiny pieces of tomatoes (of course one of them had the end stalk in it) with shrimp that honestly tasted like it came out of a can or something. Shrimp scampi is shrimp sauteed in butter and a lot of garlic. My shrimp had probably only seen the inside of a microwave. Goodness, it was not the best. This is indicative of why this chain is failing. It fails customers and fleeces their wallets. Won't be back.

I haven't been here in years, but decided to take in an old favorite for a late lunch today. Glad I did! The service was great @Victoria) and the food was just as good as always. I had the Seafood Alfredo and an Italian Margarita. They did not disappoint!

Great Italian restaurant! Best to make reservations!!!!! Had the Mama Savellis chicken, great wine sauce, great flavor! The sampler with a great homemade marinara sauce. Basket of garlic bread. And the lemon Italian cream cake , so good!! The sweet tea has fresh mint added to it, the best tea! We would definitely come back!

Tried this Olive Garden again. I'm a glutton for punishment. This Olive Garden had to be the worst in the chain as far as food goes. The Bartender was nice. I ate alone and today (Sat 8pm) they actually had a small wait. At other Olive Gardens it would be difficult to get a seat at the bar. This bar was empty because the restaurant wasn't slammed. I ordered the chicken gnocchi soup. It was watered down and had no chicken in it and no vegetables to be seen. It was basically white oily water with 3 dough balls in it. I ate the dough balls and let them take the white water back. I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara. The chicken they use for this tasted like mush. Never had this dish here. Wasn't the worst food I ever had. Wouldn't eat this again here. It seems pasta and tomato sauce, and chicken Parm are the only things they can make well consistently. Even sausage is hit and miss. Had the strawberry cream cake for desert. That was ok. If you come here stick to spaghetti and meat sauce and fried apps. Anything else, you'll be let down.

Food was good, service was good, restaurant and bathrooms were clean so a solid 4. Being a chain restaurant you expect the food to be decent enough because they cook the same dishes all day everyday. Salad was fresh and my chicken scampi was nice and hot. Always a good go to for a taste of Italian. Family friendly with a great kids menu so bring the family. Enjoy
