Nixon's Deli - Knoxville

We really enjoy Nixon's, but it seems they're closing more frequently lately. The Middlebrook location is often closed, and while their hours are posted on the website, they haven't been reliable. Last night, we looked up the Bearden location online, which indicated they were open. However, when we arrived at 5:10, the staff hurried inside and locked the door. We found a note written on a napkin that said they had closed at 5:00. How frustrating! We ended up going to Buddy's instead. We love their sandwiches, but they really need to be more consistent with their hours.

In the tradition of deli shops in the Knoxville area, everything was steamed and served hot. We really enjoyed our experience.

The staff is fantastic all around! The sandwiches are excellent. Plus, they have some really cool t-shirts for sale!

First time visiting. Food was amazing! Best Ruben I've ever had and the smokehouse potato salad was great! My husband got a roast beef sandwich and I ended up eating half of his LOL. Asked to double steam mine and they did. We live about 45 minutesaway but I foresee this becoming a regular trip! Only complaint, they don't have diet coke LOL that's ok though, I'll settle fordiet Pepsi :
