Kopita Authentic Mediterranean

Definitely a 5 star kind of place. Options for vegans and meat eaters. The portions are generous and the staff really personable. I can't believe I haven't been here before today. They served us hot tea when we got in which hurt the spot since it was freezing outside. The food was so fresh and everything was delicious. It was probably the best baklava I've ever had.

We stopped in on a whim and wow!! Best sabich and hummus we ever had! (And one of us lived in the Middle East for a while). The food was so FLAVORFUL. When we got there it was super busy (during the Big Ears music festival) and the owner saw us sitting in the back waiting and just bought us a spread of humus and salads. We absolutely loved our meal, the food had such an authentic feel and we loved every bit of it.

First timers, try the sampler! I was so impressed with the wholesome and lively flavors in all the dishes. It's obvious they put a lot of care and attention into the preparation. The menu caters to omnivores of all types, but I think it's one of the best places to get an entirely plant-based meal that's balanced and exciting.

Hands-down the best Israeli food that I have had in a very long time. All of the meals and dishes were fresh and made to order. The lamb and beef kebab was juicy and flavorful, which is hard to do. I highly recommend the cucumber and tomato salad, which was also very flavorful and infused with lemon. And if you want a special drink, get their iced tea unsweetened, which has a distinct mediterranean Flavor that you would not get anywhere else.Allergy friendly. No peanuts on menu.

The chef is an absolute riot. Greek, chicagoan and an excellent chef. He certainly knows how to take care of his guests and the food was fantastic. We got the sampler and the schwarma. Plentiful portions and excellent seasonings.The steak was perfect. The sweet potatoes were out of this world.I'd give the whole experience 12/10. Honestly it'll be hard to find anywhere to top KoPita's. I'll definitely be back.
