Gully Fish & Grill - Knox

I have visited this restaurant several times in the past few months. The fish batter is light and crispy, and the onion rings are excellent. I believe that with some practice, the new owners can reach the same level of quality as the previous owners. It is unfair for others to assume that the new Chinese owners cannot make crispy batter, as many Chinese dishes are fried and crispy. I suggest adding some traditional Chinese snacks for variety, such as 油条 (Chinese doughnut) with sprinkled sugar on top. I think non-Chinese customers would enjoy it as well!

Good joint, good decent and friendly service. Unfortunately just take away and no option of sitting in. The Souvlaki had a good treasure and was massive. Fish burger I'd yummy as well.

Great fish and chips in the suburbs. Fish and chips here was very good quality. The batter was light and fluffy and even my wife liked it which is very unusual! The service and prices are up to standard with the quality of the food here. Will be putting this one on my regulars list.

Not as good as I was hoping but not that bad, my husband liked it a lot but I found it a little bland. Food sat lightly and I was hungry later which is practically unheard of for me. Not such a bad thing though fish n chips shouldn't be too heavy or greasy. Putting it down to me having an off night, will try again despite it being slightly pricy, shop was busy enough with enough regulars to suggest the food is normally very good.

What can I say!! Some of the best fish and chips I have had and I've had plenty. Reminds me of the good old days fish'n'chips. Great burgers and chips perfect. New fav.
