The porridge was good. The mantis prawn fried with salted egg was yummy. Lala was also good
As the name suggested ... that's the star dish! We tried to be early and reached there before 6pm, thinking that we would have no problem getting a table for dinner. As I turned into the road in front of the restaurant my expression turned from to to see the people queueing outside. I asked the rest to wait in the car while I went there to check. Turned out we had to write our phone number and no of pax on a piece of paper and wait like everyone else. It took me a whole 30 40 minutes before being called, and I had to wait while envying those who had already eating happily inside the restaurant. Note: Waiting time can be quite long as they were inundated with endless stream of patrons. If you want things fast ie. Extra plates, utensils, ice or Chinese tea refill, please do self service like I did. Talked to a friendly uncle there and he appreciated that I took the initiative to do so. Bubur goreng aka fried porridge initially we were sceptical when they suggested 2 bowls but we still nodded our heads anyway. It turned out to be blessing in disguise not only we thoroughly enjoyed the darkish savoury porridge that was laden with pork lards, yam pieces and dried squid (which explained the fragrant aroma and flavour), it wasn't enough to all of us. The yaw char koay (fried fritters) pieces were immediately disappeared because everyone was hungry and it's yaw char koay
We went on a sat lunch time around 1215pm and we didnt have to queue. There were quite available big tablesss The dishes were not bad! Personally i was shocked with how reasonably priced with the amount they serve (y) Dont miss their bubur goreng and fried taufu!! 5 dishes for 5 person RM86!
