Contribuiți la feedbackIn Kitzbuhel the pretentiousness of the town extends to the mountain huts! This restaurant nestles into the surrounding area, plays 'sounds ' and charges extortionate amounts for food. In fairness, the Gulash Suppe was good but since this is peasant food it needed to be at...€7.50 a bowl. None of the rest of the menu was worth considering as it was overpriced for average fair. There 's no doubt it is a nice place to stop in the sun and spot the nouveau riche of Russia, but for the seasoned skier, expensive and average. Welcome to Kitzbuhel!
We were thirsty after a winter hike when we reached this traditional looking place. It was around 11am and absolutely packed, the only seats we could get were in the bar area. There is both indoor and outdoor dining areas as well. Well the place...was really rocking, loud music and so many people. We only had drinks but the service was friendly and effecient and there was such a fun, laid back vibe. We really enjoyed out time here.

Stopped here at 11.00am one day last week for a quick drink. Sat at a nice table in the sun, only to be moved on by the waiter, who said it was reserved. No name or time on the reserved sign, which was hidden amongst...the menus. Moved to another area, where we could see original table. No one sat there for the 15 minutes we took to have a drink. I think we 'd been weighed up and found lacking, didn 't look like we were going to spend mega bucks. When I asked to pay our bill for 3 ski wassers, I was sharply told 9.30 euros without service . I proffered a 10 euro note and waited for my change much to the chagrin of the waitress who expected a 70 cent tip for basically 3 glasses of squash. She then gave me 50 cents and when I asked for the outstanding 20 cents was told she didn 't have any change. Wished I 'd been quick enough to get 30 cents out of my purse and demand a Euro. Under other circumstances I would gladly have left a tip, but given the lack of service, I really resented being rail roaded into a 20 cent tip! I have never been subjected to such bad service in an Austrian mountain restaurant. We ate and drank at many mountain restaurants last week and we 're always treated courteously, with or without a tip.
