Utsu - Kittilae

The restaurant has a glass ceiling, so this is a perfect place to catch potential northern lights with a glass of wine. Had the 5 course surprise menu. (Stop read here if you do not want to destroy the surprise). The pumpkin infused cold starter was perhaps not the best, but interesting. The onion soup was creamy and full of aromas. The smokey white fish with the floor artichokes was for to die. The lamb with the delicious crust was something new, maybe the dessert has crowned the whole meal. This is the place to visit when you are near Levi for the beautiful experience, good service and enjoy fine restaurants.

Honestly, work in Levi and everyone told me that Utsu was the best fine restaurant in the area... That's wrong to spend more than 70€ for a good meal was not worth me. I had to fight to change the desert option for the desert, which is usually not the case for a fine restaurant. The beginning of being honest was not good, it was pumpkin, it was not cooked enough. The main dish that my friend took the Artic-Wage, which was not delicious, and I had the reindeer who was good, but with mash potatoes... wore such a refined food for a good meal. And the desert... I'm sorry, but the desert is not worth it at all, a fine restaurant, even it was just a simple berry cake or a chocolate pudding nothing elaborate. I suggest that the chef inspire France or go to a fine restaurant in France to offer his customers a real culinary experience. Kitchen upstairs. The evening menu is solid, but is flexible in terms of preferences and incompatibility. A drink is recommended for every walk. The service is very friendly to warm and competent.
