Hot Wok Chinese Restaurant - Kitchener

Food is below average but most disappointedly service is terrible. After our discussion They promised to substitute egg roll to vegetable spring roll with out any extra charge. But when I pick up My food I find out they charged me $1 extra to each of my order. When I asked about it they don't give me any clear explanation but rudely replied "they have to charge extra". Then what's the point of promising no extra charge in the first place. How even they can charge me extra without even letting me know! I'm never going back to them ever!!! Worst service ever.

Charge extra dollar for Springroll if you don't want the pop with the lunch special, extra dollar if you don't want rice, no loyalty to customers at all. Food salty, one time the rice was so old and dry, had to throw it out!!!! No point taking it back, haven't been back since!!!!

Was at highland hills plaza and thought I would grab some egg drop soup to enjoy on a cold day.....big mistake that was! When I got home I sat down, took the lid off the soup, and was smacked in the face by this unpleasant, downright disgusting odour. I couldn't even take a spoonful. I immediately flushed this "soup" down the toilet. Will never go back to this restaurant.

Come on now, this is your western Chinese take out/delivery. You can't expect high class cuisine at these prices. Everybody gets these cravings for chicken chow mein, egg rolls, chicken balls ect..... you know and I both know that this place is good for a cheap fix on western Chinese cuisine. Atleast when you call for delivery it comes hot, and it's crazy fast. The chef can whip up a container of noodles faster than the Pizza Pizza guy can warm up a slice next door. You get what you pay for. 2 thumbs up for speed. Food nothing surprising. We all get those simple cravings. I'm not going to lie, when I want something cheap fast and simple I do call Hot Wok.

This has to be the worst Chinese food in the Waterloo region...You never know when getting your food home if its going to be cooked or not, Chicken if it is chicken is very rubbery and taste less. Metal staple was found in breaded shrimp. When store was called we were accused of placing it there. Had to fight with them to get refund!!! Rice has funny taste to it and is lumped together in one ball. Go to Region of Waterloo health board website and see how may times they have been dinged for infractions. Will not eat here ever again....
