We like to go to Golf's on special occasions for brunch. There is a good variety, fresh salads, tons of deserts. My fav is the veggie lasagna.

Weather for my 55th birthday started off with an all-you-can-eat salad bar absolutely outstanding and soup outstanding all you could eat then to the main course 26 ounce porterhouse T-Bone prime rib cooked medium rare with sauteed mushrooms my father had a large prime rib which he said literally melt-in-your-mouth it was so good my wife had steak and lobster and said it was absolutely to die for. For dessert I had cheesecake and it was so good it was sinful. The service was friendly fast respond to your needs and totally outstanding the atmosphere absolutely fantastic the price is extremely fair for a high-end restaurant I would highly recommend this place to family friends and anyone that I met probably the best seafood steak Lobster Etc that you'll ever get in Kitchener Waterloo area in the price very very fair.

Treated out-of-town family for dinner on a Friday. Two ordered seafood and two ordered chicken. All portions were large, however, no one could eat more than half their plate. The seafood did not taste fresh, was over-cooked and rubbery, and dishes described be stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crab instead had imitation crab, lots of bread crumbs, tiny pieces of not-fresh scallops, and no shrimp. Sauces on the seafood (stuffed sole) and chicken cordon bleu were bland and unappetizing. Dinner for four cost two hundred dollars, which was money very poorly spent. We've eaten at Golf's a few times over the years and this was the worst experience by far. The server was lovely, the dinner, underwhelming and far below mediocre. We will not be returning.

We had been to Golf's Steakhouse for Valentine's Day this year for the Prime Rib, as highly recommended by a several friends/acquaintances. It was a delicious experience. My husband was celebrating his 75th birthday, and since prime rib is his favourite meal, I decided to have his birthday dinner at Golf's Steakhouse. We had reservations for 7:30 for 20, Saturday, July 8th. The reservations were made June 8th and that was the earliest reservation I could get for that evening.I was so disappointed and embarrassed, as I had chosen the restaurant for 18 other people (who paid for their own meals and had no choice in the restaurant), and most ended up paying for a meal they did not enjoy.Most of us, on my recommendation, ordered the Prime Rib and were told about 15 minutes after placing our orders that they sold out, so nobody was able to have what they wanted. They also ran out of the soup feature (Loaded Potato Soup), Mashed Potatoes and a Waterloo Dark draft beer. What we settled for, with respect to our entre was OK, additionally one of the steaks was burnt and had to be sent back. My father - 80 years old with dentures, would have been able to eat a prime rib but was not able to eat the denser, tougher strip loin. He paid $20 for a baked potato and some beans.We were given 2 tables side-by-side for our group and 2 wait staff, who were very good given the circumstances. However, both tables were offered different comparable options to replace the prime rib. We had to ask if there was an option at the same price as the prime rib - we were told we could have the strip loin for the same price. The other table was told the rib steak was closest to the prime rib and I'm not sure if they paid the menu price of the rib steak or the price of the prime rib. My husband had the rib steak and did not enjoy it at all.The restaurant was packed full when we arrived, all by reservation I presume because we could not get a reservation prior to 7:30 a month before our planned birthday event. This restaurant has been open for 40+ years should not have been as under prepped for their booked dinner reservations, in our opinion! So disappointing for my husband's milestone birthday celebration ... and we can't do it over. We will not be returning ... so sad because our first experience was so good.
