Whenever I visit the Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge area, I always find myself at this restaurant. They serve excellent coffee and the wait times have improved. The walk-up service is fantastic.

I finally got out to the late night "pop up" restaurant Cheeses Murphy, they specialize in gourmet grilled cheese for the late night bar crowd. They function as a cash only walk up window in the lobby of the Princess Twin Cinema in Uptown Waterloo.I ordered 2 sandwiches, the Jalapeño Popper and the Cheese and Chong. Both were cooked beautifully, though I was hoping for a bigger flavour experience. Had lunch at CM today. First timer, but probably not my last. Funky little place with about 10 different varieties of grilled cheese sandwiches. $4 for the classic grilled cheese, but most of the others are $7-10 - sandwich only. I had the jalapeño popper sandwich. It was very different from any other grilled cheese I've ever had, and it was really tasty. I only wanted a light lunch, and this fit the bill. If you're really hungry, you might want to consider other places to stop. Only open 3.5 hours for lunch; 11:00-2:30. Very limited selection of sides and drinks. But the grilled cheese options are worth a stop; just for the novelty if nothing else.
